$43 In February Almost $400 In March — How Does This Thing Work?

I started writing on Medium January 8th. I got 100 followers about the middle of February. At this writing I’m four short of 400.

This will be story 191 since I started. Only about 1/3 produce much more than a few cents but four or five carry the load.

Somehow, I hit a nerve with those.

Writing on Medium is lot like trying to find your way out of a maze with a pot of gold at the end. There are lot and lots of wrong turns and dead ends.

And when nothing is happening there are zero clues as to why.

I got lucky having two stories curated in March. As you can see in the screenshot above March 9 was my biggest day.

I don’t have the slightest clue what made that day big and why it didn’t continue.
